Jim Ball - Director
Jim Ball has been a writer, photographer and musician since his early teen years. He got into filmmaking in 1987 when he made a music video, which he submitted to MTV's Basement Tapes in early 1988. The video, "Serious Injury," won MTV's Basement Tapes with the most votes in MTV history. Due to the popularity of the video, Jim was asked to shoot TV commercials for a local Baltimore TV station and music videos for a good number of bands.
At this point, he became a full-time filmmaker and changed the name of his recording studio from Flip Side Sound to Flip Side Sound and Film. In 1992, he was led to the Lord by a Pentecostal gospel singer, and two years later he sold the studio to go to seminary. He has been in full time ministry since 1996, and founded Holy Apostles Church in 1998 under the authority of his bishop.
Jim continued to make films for churches and Christian schools for the next few years. In 2007, he co-wrote and directed "The Sins of the Fathers", which was based on experiences he encountered while working in the generational healing ministry. The "Sins of the Fathers" was completed in 2008, and was awarded "Best Mystery Feature" in the 2009 New York International Independent Film Festival, was nominated for "Best Feature" in the International Christian Film Festival in the same year, and won the 2013 "Red Carpet Award" at the Kingdomwood Film Festival.
Emma Elle Roberts
Emma Elle Roberts fell in love with performing at an early age. She began her dance training at age 2 and at 13 began intensive acting training. Emma attended AMTC and was encouraged her to get a short trendy hairstyle to compliment her striking features, slim body type and bold personality.With the new look, Emma was soon booking modeling jobs including Vogue Italia and working in films including Hunger Games - Mocking Jay and Insurgent. Emma recently shot lead roles in Gracia and I'm Not Ashamed, the Rachel Joy Scott Columbine Story. Although Emma is known for playing dark troubled characters, she has a strong faith and optimistic view of life.In addition to her acting career, Emma also spends time writing, singing and playing her ukulele.
Ben Davies
Ben Davies has been acting since before he could walk. In fact, he was still in diapers when he appeared in his first national TV and print ad campaign. The progeny of a successful model and an All-American athlete, Davies was blessed with both striking physical features and a strong physical body. He was ranked the No. 1 high school decathlete in the nation in 2008 by Track & Field News. Multiple injuries, along with a complex and risky surgery to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder, left Davies frustrated on the sidelines in 2010, wondering whether he would ever compete again. It was at that low point that Ben got the call to audition for Sherwood Pictures highly-anticipated new film, Courageous. Within three weeks of the audition, Davies was offered the coveted role of David Thomson, one of the four leads in the film.
He has since had leading roles in 10 films with several in negotiations. Davies grew up in the modeling and entertainment industry. His mother, Nisé Davies, founded Advantage Models & Talent in the Nashville, Tenn., suburb of Franklin, Tenn. Through the years, he appeared in print and television ads and in videos. He competed twice at the nationally-renowned AMTC (Actors, Models and Talent for Christ), winning many awards including first place in TV Commercial, Swimsuit and Overall Finalist for Modeling and Acting.
Shannen Fields
Shannen Fields is a gifted actress, producer, model, and inspirational speaker.
Shannen’s dreams were launched with the Kendrick Brother’s feature film Facing the Giants where she was cast as the lead female role of Brooke Taylor. The movie was released in 441 theaters across the United States by Sony Pictures through both Provident and Samuel Goldwyn Films.
To date, Shannen has appeared and starred in over a dozen film and television projects.
Including the lead female role as Gwen O’Brien in the RiverRain Productions feature film Suing the Devil alongside accomplished actor Malcom McDowell.
Shannen also partnered with Stone Road Pictures as one of the producers and she was cast for one of the lead roles as Kerri Stein in the upcoming powerful pro-life feature film “The Order of Rights”. She was also cast alongside TC Stallings (War Room) in the soon to be released feature film “My Brother’s Keeper” and most recently cast opposite Keisha Knight Pulliam in the feature film "Redeemed”.
In addition to her love for acting and producing, Shannen also has a passion to take her message and spread God’s word in an authentic way.
Recently, She has served as Mistress of Ceremony and Guest Speaker at a very significant and high-profile event in Rome, Italy as well as keynote speaker for various women and youth conferences, churches, fundraisers, and other miscellaneous events and venues.
She has been married to the love of her life since 1991, faithfully cheering on her Head Football Coach husband Jimmy Fields and their two grown children as a proud wife and mother. She is quoted as saying, “This is the best role I could ever play.”
Richard Cutting
A native New Yorker, Richard is continually active in stage, film, television and commercial projects. He is a screenwriter and produced playwright, as well as a feature film producer and web series executive producer. He began acting on stage in classics such as The Alchemist by Ben Jonson and Tom Jones at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center. He is currently appearing in the lead role of Dr. Daniel Milgram in the original award-winning TV series Milgram And The Fastwalkers (www.fastwalkerseries.com), a noir TV drama about UFOs, for which he is Showrunner, Director, Writer and Executive Producer. Most recently, Richard appeared in House Of Cards as CIA Liaison in Season 2 and again in Season 3. He did the lead role of Owen Grey in the latest Kevin Kangas film, Garden Of Hedon, and appeared as Joshua Carter in Wayne Shipley’s Western opus, Day Of The Gun.
Richard worked repeatedly on All My Children and The Wire, and appeared in the Disney feature, National Treasure 2, with Nicolas Cage. His lead roles include Ian Gallagher (The Church), Jake Martin (JuJu: The Witchdoctor Chronicles), The Man (Origin), Ethan (The Color Of Rain Is Red), and Reggie Pope in the Baltimore Playwrights Festival, world premiere of $40 Million, If You Want It. He has also appeared on House of Cards, The Wire, and The FBI Files (Discovery Channel).
Richard’s feature films include The Weather's Warm When The Sun Is Hot, as Thompson, and in the Western Come Hell Or High Water (One-Eyed Horse) as baddie Creed Logan. In The Sins of the Fathers, he played psychiatrist Dr. Ben Nichols. He has a B.A. in Acting/Theatre Studies from Connecticut College, and is an Acting Program Graduate of the National Theater Institute, Eugene O'Neill Theater Center. Meisner Technique trained (Farwell Studio, NYC), he has studied acting with Terry Schreiber Studios, NYC, Martin Blank Studios in DC, and at various acting studios in New York. He also has a Masters in International Economics from Columbia University.
Julie Silcott
Julie Silcott grew up in a large family of 9 in Reisterstown, MD. She was the 2nd youngest child and as a toddler would have to be peeled off her brother Jim because she would climb all over him and never let go. Today, the two are still close as they started their company together called Stone Road Pictures, which produced its first Christian film in 2009. "The Sins of the Fathers" won "Best Mystery" at the New York Independent International Film Festival, nominated "Best Feature" at the International Christian Film Festival and won "The Red Carpet Award" at the Kingdomwood Film Festival. Julie was the Executive Producer, Lead Actor and the Marketing Director for the film.
Julie also participated in AMTC(Actors, Models and Talent for Christ), where she received finalist awards for acting and modeling. She feels the experience grew her further in the areas of acting and commercial modeling. She quotes "AMTC was like a mini heaven in that everyone was for you, supporting you and cheering you on! I'm forever grateful for AMTC! The biggest thing that I learned at AMTC was to do your part and leave the results up to God. What incredible freeing advice!"
She is now Co-Producer of a new Pro-Life film "The Order of Rights" and is very excited to work with the great people God is bringing to this project. She is happily married and God gave her 4 amazing boys. As she grew up in a house of men, now lives in a house of men, she LOVES her time with her sweet sisters, from family to friends.
Nise Davies
Nise Davies is on a mission to change culture through faith based film and media. After a successful personal career (Miss TN, Miss USA semi-finalist, 300 TV commercials, magazine covers, and talk show host) Nise established the first openly Christian model/talent agency, Advantage Models & Talent. She helped to develop and launched the careers of Broadway Stars (Les Miserables), Cover models (Vogue and more) TV and Film Stars (booked Miley Cyrus in her first movie role) Artists (Chris Young and more).
Since 2012, Nise has worked in casting and producing 8 faith based/family friendly films with 3 more in development. She also serves as Vice Chairman of the Board for the non-profit organization Actors, Models Talent for Christ.
Cameron Arnett
Cameron Arnett is an award-winning actor in television, film, and theater hailing from Port-Au-Prince Haiti and is also a film producer, a director, and a syndicated talk show producer and co-host.
Cameron has appeared on just about every major network. Past television credits include NBC’s Miami Vice, Fox’s Star Trek: The Next Generation, ABC’s China Beach and Doogie Howser MD, VH1's Single Ladies, and Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns.
Today Cameron travels an average of thirty weeks a year shooting faith based and family friendly projects. He has appeared in twelve films in the last six years alone. Among his roles are “Coach Bradford” in The Order of Rights, “Logan Evans” in Champion, and “Mike” in Extraordinary. More recent successes include Cameron’s role as “Bill” in The Challenger Disaster, “Drew” in The Big Fix, “Solomon Grant” in Karen Abercrombie’s Discarded Things and “Thomas Hill” in the Kendrick Brothers’ (the makers of WAR ROOM’s) highly anticipated sixth film Overcomer.
Jack Walker
Jackson (Jack) Walker started his career in 1993 on the first feature film of acclaimed director Doug Liman and has since appeared in over seventy national commercials, TV shows and feature films. In 2007 he played a pivotal role in Denzel Washington’s Golden Globe nominated film The Great Debaters. He played opposite Viola Davis in Madea Goes To Jail, and had supporting lead roles in Final Destination 4, After, 42, and Being Mary Jane.
After 20 years in the film business he fled for his life and now resides in his hometown of Dublin, Georgia where he owns and operates three self storage facilities while raising four teenagers with his wife Buffy. He only comes out of retirement for roles worth coming out of a happy retirement for…and movie-director priests.
Michael Joiner
Since his break out starring role as 'Mac McDonald' in Sony Pictures "The Grace Card" where he received outstanding reviews in both "The Hollywood Reporter" and "Variety", Michael Joiner has starred and/or co starred in no less than 11 Movies, his career showing no signs of slowing down.
Michael is also known as one of the worlds funniest clean comedians. His comedy career spans twenty plus years, headlining major "A" clubs like LA's Improv and The Ice House, as well as New York City's HA Comedy Cafe. In 2008 Michael won 1st place at The Hollywood Improv's "Funniest comic in LA".
In 2010 he was nominated in Nashville's "Christian Music Hall of Fame" Funniest Comedian of the year. Michael worked and studied in LA for ten years before moving back home to Kansas City,MO. where he now lives with his wife and three children.
Nikki Estridge
Nikki Estridge was born in Knoxville, Tennessee. She earned an athletic and academic scholarship to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where she played softball for the Lady Volunteers and graduated with honors and with a B.A. in Communications. Nikki has seen success as an actress with guest star roles on House of Cards, Law and Order: SVU as well as in many films and national commercials. Nikki's comedic skills and exotic blend of beauty and curves light up any movie screen and make her a crowd favorite.
Dennis Loewer
Dennis P. Loewer is a U.S. Navy Submarine Veteran who never misses an opportunity to help and encourage those pursuing their own dream, nor does he ever miss a chance to use his gifts to communicate those things most important to him: Faith, Family, Friends and Devotion to others.
Over the past 3 years, Dennis served as a Community Relations Coordinator and member of the Board of Directors with Armed Forces Mission. Recently, Dennis is serving as the Community Relations Director for The Eden Project, a non-profit Warrior Support foundation. He has also served as a National Training Instructor for a Federal Agency. He graduated from Xavier University in 1988 with B.A. in Broadcast Journalism. During the 1980s, he interviewed President Reagan’s Chief of Staff, James Baker, NFL legend, Rosey Grier, and actress, Valerie Harper. Dennis has also worked in newsradio while calling both HS and Collegiate Football and Basketball games. For fun, Dennis is a Film and Television Actor, as well as Voice over specialist with 39 years of experience. Dennis is a SAG Eligible Film and Television actor whose work includes Discovery Channel and more recently "Sid Roth's It's Supernatural."
He can be seen in a variety of Faith-Based films such as “The Order of Rights” along with the secular film "The Last Punch”. In October 2019, he will be filming “The Crickets Dance” in Savannah, Georgia. Dennis seeks to honor God in all he does with everything within him until God calls him home.
Alveda King
Alveda C. King is a creative Christian evangelist and civil rights activist and is also known for her creative contributions in film, music, politics, education and journalism. She is also a presidential appointee, spiritual advisor for the Trump National Diversity Coalition, an actress, singer, songwriter, blogger, author (including AMERICA RETURN TO GOD, KING TRUTHS, KING LEGACY COOKBOOK, KING RULES, WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST JESUS, LET FREEDOM RING, TENDER MOMENTS ALONE WITH GOD), FOX NEWS Contributor and a television and radio personality.
As a former GA State Legislator, Director of Civil Rights for the Unborn for Priests for Life, and devoted mother and grandmother, she is also a guardian of the King Family Legacy. Fr. Terry Gensemer
Fr. Terry Gensemer — a pastor for more than 20 years in the Birmingham area — currently serves as the full-time International Director of CEC For Life and a Board Member of the National Pro-life Religious Council.
He also serves as Pastoral Director of the Society of Centurions – a group which hosts healing retreats for those who have left the abortion industry.
His expertise includes urban ministry, racial reconciliation and pro-life youth work. As pastor of several urban churches, Fr. Gensemer has been very active in citywide pro-life activities and in efforts to reach the most vulnerable members of the inner-city community. He developed a mentoring program for at-risk families in 1999 that received national recognition.
Joseph Durbin
Joseph Durbin was born and raised in Winchester, Virginia. At a young age, he began entertaining in puppetry and theater. He was instantly drawn into entertaining through acting, especially in film. He started out his career as master puppeteer for network WAZT, as the star of “Puppet Treasures” from 2000-2004. He enjoyed the experience but felt his calling was to be in front of the audience instead of being behind a puppet stage. Though he only invested a brief few years in the show the network continued running reruns for the next 10 years while Joseph started his acting career. He entered John Robert Powers School of Acting and Modeling in Rockville, MD. After working as an featured extra in the Russell Crowe and Rachel McAdams film, “State Of Play,” he turned his attention to independent films where he could better develop his skills and get more on screen experience.
In 2005, Joseph was cast as the lead for award winning directors Gary Ugarek’s, “Deadlands 2: Trapped” and Dale Jackson’s, “Maxwell Stein” and his talent was widely recognized. Since then, he has built up his resume with 40+ films and started taking an interest for behind the scenes. In 2011, Joseph made his directorial debut in the film, “Your Last Six Inches,” followed by “Charity,” “Fat Kid Massacre” and “A Little Off The Top.” In 2012, Joseph decided to combine his multiple talents, experience and passion for films by creating Vintage Film Productions, LLC. In 2014, after directing many projects from other writers he decided to venture into screenwriting himself. In 2017, Joseph decided to enroll at Southern New Hampshire University to work towards a BA in Creative Writing with a focus in screenwriting. By 2018, Joseph has written and directed several of his own screenplays that went on to win Best Screenplay in several film festivals.
His go to writing genre is horror but most recently specifically in psychological thriller/horror since the treads are higher for those types of films and have a wider age range of viewers. This comes natural for Joseph as his personally identifies with everything in horror as it relates to phobias, fears, social media, environment, religion, adaptability, understanding, patience, courage, loyalty, culture, observation, intelligence, precision and imagination. In his background and with being versatile in the film industry he brings a unique set of skills in knowing what audiences want and how to create such a screenplay and film. He has several feature films in this genre that are in post-production that will release in 2020.
Francine Locke
Francine’s professional career began in Chicago, when commercials and industrial film-work were reigning. After many successful years, which ended with a 10 year hiatus, she returned to the industry, this time with a passion for film, and was soon offered the starring role in Stand your Ground. While filming in Georgia, she fell in love with Southern hospitality, and eventually moved to the Atlanta area.
Since moving south, she has booked numerous film and TV roles. She was recurring in CMT’s Nashville, and has guest or co-starred in Necessary Roughness (USA), The Passage (FOX), The Originals (CW), The Dream Motel, and has had lead or supporting roles in many films, such as Christmas Ranch, Mine 9, Heavens to Betsy 2, Charlies Christmas Wish, Keys to the City, and Modern Prodigal. The opportunity to take on the role of the judge in Order of Rights was a special treat as her degree is in Criminal Justice.
Waiting for opportunities to appear, has never been her strong suit, with that in mind, Locke started ElFilm Productions (honoring her mother, Elfi) in order to gain production experience.
After producing several award-winning short films, she took on her first feature, Modern Prodigal, and was involved in every facet of post production, which proved to be an intense, immersive learning experience. In her own words, the best lessons are learned through trials, tribulations and challenges. Modern Prodigal has distribution with BMG, and is available on Amazon.
Steve Ball
Steve is married to his wife Anne who is also an executive producer and they have six children. He is a partner with the Baltimore/Washington based CPA firm Gross Mendelsohn. He also is a ruling elder at Covenant of Grace Presbyterian church in Reisterstown MD which hosted the church scene in the film. He offered the part to the actual long-time pastor Herb Ruby but was turned down cold, although you can see Herb seated in the congregation view.
Jeff Ball
Jeffrey Ball was born and raised in Eldersburg, Maryland. He grew up in a family with five other siblings who peaked his interest in acting at an early age when they all became involved in a local community theater program provided by Faith Lutheran Church. This interest would follow him through middle school and high school where he performed in over ten stage productions across two different schools including leading roles in “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof”, “Once Upon a Mattress” and “West Side Story”, the latter of which netted him a Cappie Nomination for best Supporting Actor in the state of Maryland. “The Order of Rights” is his first film acting credit. The experience of working on the film encouraged him to pursue a degree in film from Towson University which he is currently working toward with the dream of eventually writing and directing his own films. Jeffrey is proud to be a part of a production that he hopes and believes will be a positive force for societal change that will inspire others towards a spiritual resurgence.
